Mahakala Offering and Working Bee

In preparation for Losar, Tibetan New Year (10th February, 2024) Year of the Dragon, the following activities are planned for Sunday, 28th January 2024. 

1.  10 am Working Bee.

2.  12 pm  a light vegetarian lunch will be provided. 

3.   2.00 pm Working Bee continues.

4.   When working bee finishes, Mahakala Golden Drink Offering will be recited.

Medicine Buddha Ceremony

On Saturday 4th November, 2023 is Lha-Bhab Duechen, Buddha Descends from Tushita Heaven. On this day Medicine Buddha Puja and recitation of mantra will commence at 1.30 pm. Offerings of fruit, yoghurt, bottled water and flowers are welcome. Butter lamps are available on the day. Only vegetarian food to be consumed on this day.

Manjushri Nama Samgiti and Grand Light Offering for Saka Dawa

Saka Dawa is celebrated for the whole month and is one of the most significant festivals celebrated in Tibet. The fifteenth day of the month (14.6.22) is very special as Buddha Shakyamuni was born, attained Nirvana (enlightenment) and entered into Parinirvana (death). Recitation of Manjushri Nama Samgiti with light offering will be held on this day, Tuesday, 14th June, 2022 commencing at 7.30 pm.

Recitation of Thirty Five Confession Buddhas and Vajrasattva Purification

During the holy month of Saka Dawa (31st May - 28th June), recitation of Thirty Five Confession Buddhas and Vajrasattva Purification practice will be held at AIBLP, 15 Metella Road, Toongabbie on Saturday, 4th June commencing at 1.30 pm. Please consume only vegetarian meals on this occasion.

Vajrasattva Purification practice recited during the month of Saka Dawa multiplies the effects of purification. Any practice undertaken this month multiples the benefits many times. Recitation of Vajrasattva is one of the preliminaries of Tibetan Buddhist Practices and many places recite Vajrasattva during this period.

Green Tara 100,000 Mantra Practice

The Australian Institute of Buddhist Learning & Practice, 15 Metella Road, Toongabbie will be holding Green Tara 100,000 Mantra Practice on Sunday, 1st May, 2022 commencing at 10 am.  There will be 3 sessions during the day, 10 am - 12 pm. 1 pm - 3 pm, 3.30 pm - 5.30 pm.  You are welcome to attend some or all of the sessions.  It is recommended to consume vegetarian meals on the day.
