Losar/Tibetan New Year this year fell on the 21st of February. This year is 2150 in the Tibetan Calendar (Year of the Water Rabbit).To prepare for the New Year, our community got together to clean the temple and engage in a Mahakala prayer service. On the following Saturday, we changed prayer flags at our centre. Our Sangha also held a special prayer service along with sangsol (smoke offering) to herald in the new year.

The anniversary of the passing of H.E. Khejok Rinpoche, our root guru is an important annual event.

On this day it is an opportunity for all students to join together and accumulate merit with puja and offerings of butter lamps, flowers, water, and tsog showing gratitude to our Guru’s kindness.

"Saka Dawa" is one of the most important months of Buddhism. As most of us know, this festival commemorates our Lord Buddha Shakyamuni's birth, conception, enlightenment and parinirvana (passed away).
